Filippo Bolognese
About
Filippo Bolognese is a Milan-based visualization studio founded by architect Filippo Bolognese, working in partnership with Clara Lopez. Bolognese, trained as an architect, has built an international reputation for his painterly approach to architectural visualization, emphasizing hyperrealism and visual sobriety as forms of architectural expressivity rather than photorealistic representation. The studio has grown from a two-person team to a company of 10 employees, gaining recognition for their unique aesthetic that prioritizes calm, silent images with strong evocative power. Working primarily on architectural competitions, the studio collaborates with renowned firms including David Chipperfield Architects, Christ & Gantenbein, Kaan Architecten, and EM2N Architekten, applying principles of visual composition including three dominant colors, frontal viewpoints, and golden proportions to create compelling architectural narratives.
