About

MORETHANVIZ is a Toronto-based architectural visualization practice founded in 2021. Operating more like a think tank than a production studio, MORETHANVIZ develops bespoke visual strategies, treating every image as a carefully constructed reinterpretation of reality, tailored to a specific purpose. The studio was founded by Alvin JY Huang and Byron Cai. Alvin Huang is an architectural designer from Toronto, recognized for award-winning work in visualization and academia, with experience in both design offices and visualization studios, and currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at Harvard GSD. Byron Cai is an architectural designer educated at the University of Waterloo and Yale University, with professional experience at internationally renowned firms including OMA, Diller Scofidio + Renfro, 3XN, and KPMB, and currently working at REX Architecture in New York. MORETHANVIZ focuses on pushing the conceptual and visual boundaries of architectural representation, emphasizing critical thinking, design intent, and process over standardized production.
